Sweetwater County Commissioners' Scholarship

Drag for a Cause Scholarship

Jeane Darling Taylor Scholarship of Inspiration

$1,000 scholarship awarded to a high school senior that best exemplifies inspirational qualities such as triumphing over disabilities, personal tragedy or difficult life circumstances. Gary's Foundation Scholarship

Gary's Foundation will award up to (5) $2,500 scholarships to graduates of a Sweetwater County High School. This is a need based scholarship with emphasis on single-parent households. Funds can be utilized at a University/College, Technical School or Trade School. DEADLINE: APRIL 15, 2024.  Gary's Foundation Scholarship

Aspen Mountain Medical Center Health Academy Student Scholarship:

$1,000 scholarship awarded to a graduating Health Academy student at RSHS.  To qualify, students must have earned a minimum 3.0 cumulative high school GPA and scored a 22 (or higher) on the ACT.  Students must be planning to attend either a 2-year or 4-year college.  DEADLINE:  MARCH 18, 2024.  To apply click  AMMC Health Academy Scholarship 2024.pdf 

Aspen Mountain Medical Center General Scholarship:

One $500 scholarships awarded to 2024 graduating seniors in Sweetwater County.  To qualify, students must have earned a minimum 3.0 cumulative high school GPA and scored a 22 (or higher) on the ACT.  Students should have a record of volunteerism in the community in a non-school capacity and also have participated in extra-curricular activities.  DEADLINE:  MARCH 18, 2024.  To apply click  AMMC General Scholarship 2024.pdf .

Community Fine Arts Center Scholarship

$1,000 scholarship available to graduating seniors in SCSD #1. This scholarship will be awarded to  a commitment Art student as demonstrated by concentration of their high school studies in Art. Chapter AE - P.E.O. Scholarships:

The P.E.O. Women's Organization offers several different scholarship opportunites for varied amounts to female high school students. They include the Cottey College Scholarship, the P.EO. Star Scholarship, State P.E.O. Chapter Scholarship and the Mary Kay Anderson Scholarship. Students must be recommended by a local P.E.O member. DEADLINE: MARCH 31, 2024. Jurich Family Memorial Scholarship:

$8,000 scholarship available to RSHS graduating senior with a family history in Rock Springs attending a 2 or 4 year college.  Application requires top 1 or 2 college choices (plus estimated cost of attendance for each school), FAFSA form completed and uploaded to the application, 2 letters of recommendation and 3 essays (max 300 words).  DEADLINE:  JANUARY 26, 2024 (5:00 PM MST). Memorial Hospital Staff Scholarship 

Current RSHS graduating seniors are eligible to apply for this $3,000 scholarship.  To be considered, students must have an interest in the health care field with a cumulative 3.5 GPA and 90% or better school attendance rate.  Also considered will be the student’s performance in school and community efforts.  Must NOT have a criminal background or disciplinary referrals. DEADLINE: MARCH 29, 2024.  MHSC Scholarship Application 2024.pdf 

Sweetwater County Farm Bureau T.S. Taliaferro V Scholarship:

$250 scholarship available to graduating seniors that are a member of a SW County Farm Bureau family.  Requires a minimum 3.0 GPA and plans to attend a Wyoming institution of higher education.  Recipients can reapply and receive the scholarship for a total of 8 semesters.  DEADLINE: MARCH 15, 2024.  Farm Bureau Scholarship Application 2024.pdf

US FOODS SCHOLARS PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarships available to seniors pursuing studies in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry, Chef Training and/or Hospitality Management at a 2 or 4 year institution.  DEADLINE: MAY 13, 2024. For more information and to apply click US Foods Scholars Program .

ADELINE NEILSON SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarships are available to full time students attending: college (graduate or undergraduate), junior college, trade or technical schools. Each scholarship is for one academic year. Students may apply each year.  The self-explanatory application form is available through April 17, 2024 by sending an e-mail request to: ansfnd@gmail.com. The completed application must be postmarked no later than April 20, 2024.

WYOMING WEED & PEST COUNCIL SCHOLARSHIP

$1,000 scholarship available to Wyoming high school graduates attending a Wyoming college, university or trade school focusing their studies in the Agriculture or Natural Resource field.  DEADLINE:  APRIL 12, 2024. WYOMING LDS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

BRIAN H. GREIF SCHOLARSHIP

WYOMING TELECOMMUNICATION ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP 

This $1000 scholarship is for graduating seniors and is based on academic achievement and financial need.  Preference given to graduates pursing advanced education is telecommunications studies.  DEADLINE: APRIL 14, 2024.  Application can be downloaded at WY Telecommunication Association Scholarship.

Hillcorp Future Leaders of America Scholarship

$2,500 per year scholarship available to a graduating high school senior with a minimum 3.0 GPA.  DEADLINE:  FEBRUARY 29, 2024.  More information and application available at  Hilcorp FLA Scholarship.pdf.

KAISER FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP -

This renewable $4,000/year scholarship requires a minimum 2.5 GPA.  To apply, students must complete the application and provide the supporting documentation to Ms. Hanson in the RSHS Counseling Center NO LATER than MARCH 8, 2024. COCA-COLA SCHOLARS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP 

Applications are currently being accepted for the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation for college scholarships worth $20,000 to high school students across the United States through the Coca-Cola Scholars Program. Students need a 3.0 GPA and to fill out an online application  that requires no essay, no recommendations, and no transcripts. 2024 UNITED STATES SENATE YOUTH PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIP 

Student applications are now being accepted for the 2024 United States Senate Youth Program (USSYP), a unique educational experience and $10,000 scholarship opportunity sponsored by the U.S. Senate for outstanding high school students who are interested in pursuing careers in public service.  Applicants must be juniors or seniors actively serving in an elected or appointed capacity in student government, civic, or education organizations during the current 2023-2024 academic school year.  DEADLINE: OCTOBER 24, 2023. WYOMING MOSQUITO MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP

$5OO scholarship available to graduating seniors planning to attend an accredited college or university majoring in an agriculture/natural resource field of study. DEADLINE: DECEMBER 31, 2023. DANIELS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 

As a Daniels Scholar, your full cost of attendance (COA) is covered at partner schools within Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming.
